| Endomysial infiltration of mononuclear cells surrounding, but not invading, myofibers. Muscle biopsy reveals endomysial mononuclear cells abutting the sarcolemma of otherwise healthy, non-necrotic muscle fibers, but there is no clear invasion of the muscle fibers. |
