Classification Criteria for
Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathies

The International Myositis Classification Criteria Project

The EULAR/ACR classification criteria for idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) were developed within the International Myositis Classification Criteria Project, an international collaboration with experts from adult and pediatric rheumatology, neurology, dermatology, epidemiology, and biostatistics, established in 2004, that followed the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) and American College of Rheumatology (ACR) recommendations for development of classification criteria from that time or published soon thereafter.
